FlowSelfie
A portable device for automated urination monitoring — accurate, convenient, and linked with the free diary app.
What is FlowSelfie
FlowSelfie is a compact portable uroflowmeter designed for home use. The device automatically measures urine flow speed and volume during urination and wirelessly transmits the data to the Bladder Diary app. No manual entry is needed, and it is suitable for regular monitoring in urological conditions.
How it works
FlowSelfie uses a strain-gauge sensor to measure the mass of urine during urination. The device automatically calculates flow speed and volume, generates a uroflowmetry curve, and transmits the results to the app via Bluetooth.
-
Measurement
Urine stream flows into the device container.
-
Strain-gauge sensor
The sensor records mass and calculates flow speed.
-
Data transfer
The device sends results to your phone via Bluetooth.
-
App analysis
The app builds the uroflowmetry chart and saves it to the diary.
What uroflowmetry shows
A real-time volume-time curve helps the doctor assess bladder function. Three typical patterns:
-
Bell-shaped — normal
A symmetrical smooth curve with a rapid rise and gradual fall.
-
Plateau — obstruction
A prolonged phase with low flow speed — possible prostate enlargement or stricture.
-
Staccato — dyssynergia
Interrupted flow with step-like drops — detrusor-sphincter dyssynergia.
Specifications
Strain-gauge sensor
A high-precision weight sensor (strain gauge) measures urine mass and automatically calculates flow speed.
Measurement range
Up to 1000 ml, 1 ml resolution — sufficient for all clinically relevant volumes.
Wireless data transfer
Bluetooth — data is transmitted to the app automatically after each measurement, without manual entry.
Clear charts
The app builds a uroflowmetry curve and daily chart that you can show your doctor.
Compact size
A portable design allows home use without visiting a clinic.
Device memory
Stores measurement results locally for upload at the next app connection.
